Hyatt Centric MG Road Bangalore – A dash of freshness in the city
Updated: Jan 19, 2020

Hyatt Centric MG Road Bangalore was the first Hyatt hotel in India to be re-branded under the Centric umbrella by Hyatt. The Centric brand targets the “millennial travelers” and I can proudly say that this is the place for us and our kind. So let’s take a tour of this hotel which was modestly priced and yet boasted a lovely environment for our (me & my sister) staycation.

As soon as we stepped inside the beautiful property we couldn’t help but notice the big, bright and chic lemon yellow couch, which for me was the highlight of the property. Sitting on it gave me all the amazing feels you can imagine. Remember the couch from Friends? Well, not that these look similar but I could just connect because I did not want to get up and let anyone else sit there ;). After looking at everything and brimming with joy at finding plenty of charming backdrops for my shoot I curbed the excitement and walked directly towards the reception area for the check-in which was smooth and fast, with a refreshing welcome drink helping make that time fly by even faster.

There is a fine-looking corner (remember the lemon yellow couch?) where you can sit and work while having a latte from the super cute coffee station right next to it which takes care of all your caffeine requirements.

Another seating space with beautiful décor was immediately behind where you could find some great reads, cute plants and some finely curated crafts. The décor and the color scheme are done keeping in mind the current generations and I’m sure you’ll love it as much as I did.

Now moving to the place where we spend the most of our time in a hotel. You guessed it, the place that gets us the most excited about a hotel and why not, that’s why you come to a hotel right, to chill, to sleep on those spring beds, order room service, and just sit and gaze out of the window. The room though slightly small, was very different from other hotels.

I have always seen empty walls being donned with some classy paintings, lights and lamps but here there are digital prints and graffiti on the wall. There was an auto (an automatic rickshaw – very popular means of transport in India) and an auto driver on my wall and it made the room look very lively. The side tables painted in bright colors looked like beautiful chests. The sofa with vibrant cushions was super comfortable and perfect to sit, sip some coffee and look at the beautiful view of the city from the bay windows.

There is one in house restaurant “The Bengaluru Brasserie” serving the great Karnataka cuisine and food bursting with local flavors. We loved the starters, mains and the dessert “Ras Malai Cheesecake” was simply out of this world, a must try.

The breakfast we got served in the room the next morning was sumptuous and delicious - a huge and varied spread including dosas, pancakes, waffles, cakes, croissants, coffee and fresh juices – all were really nicely done.

There is another amazing place on the property where you can chill with your amigos for those late evening drinks or plan an uber romantic date with your special one. The Liquid Bar is an open air lounge setup for you to sip some of the best cocktails overlooking the views of the city.

The other facilities in the hotel include a beautiful pool right by The Bengaluru Brasserie, a fully functional and well set up gym and a spa for a complete staycation experience.

Are you on a budget but want to live the luxury hotel experience? Then Hyatt Centric MG Road Bangalore is the answer to your riddle. End your long and tiring hotel hunt while on your trip to Bengaluru :)
