Novotel Lucknow - The Talk of the Town

I’m so happy that finally, all the best hotels are reaching my city Lucknow. The one that I most recently discovered was the plush Novotel. Novotel is conveniently located near most of the business parks in the city, opposite Sahara hospital and in close proximity to the International stadium. This property is loved, frequently visited and endorsed by commoners and celebrities alike.

The staff at the reception were as refreshing and welcoming as the lovingly prepared greeting drink. Check-in formalities were completed with the speed and efficiency of the Shinkansen. The most unique and beautiful thing in this staycation was that I got to enjoy the company of my family. Naturally, I wanted everything to be perfect-er. I have to gleefully acknowledge that everything from the reception to the bell boy and housekeeping to the in-room dining made sure that my goal was met.

Continuing the chapter from where we left - we then took the elevator to our suite which was the definition of luxury. A huge living room, a very spacious bedroom, and two bathrooms, out of which one had a tub. I always enjoy having a tub in my room. The decor in each and every nook and corner of the suite was on target - chic and very stylish. The bed was so cozy that it was difficult for my family to get me out of the bed to even explore the property, but of course, I had to so we did see around. Let me try and draw a picture using my limited vocabulary.

There are 106 rooms at the property and you get access to super fast wifi, large screen television, sofa-beds in addition to the bed in the bedroom. A lot of space in the living room to just sit and relax or catch up on that office work. All this while looking at the lush green view of the city.

There are plenty of options for you to select your drinks and food from. You enjoy the meal within your room but without a doubt, I would recommend that you visit one of their finely done restaurants and bars to really enjoy those plates of delicacies:

The Square - The square is a huge restaurant that serves various cuisines including regional and international. The food was delicious. The Manchow soup and Dahi k kebabs are highly recommended.

The Bar - For those perfect evenings with sips and conversations. The Bar serves innovative cocktails, classic drinks and any other concoction that you want.

Edge - This was my favorite place at Novotel. A wonderful rooftop setup to unwind as the sun bids adieu for the day. You can enjoy your dates, family dinners or that fun office party here.

Deli- There is also a pop-up bakery and coffee shop right at the ground level where you can help yourselves with a delicious cake or two along with your preferred brew

Another favorite spot of mine at Novotel Lucknow was the mind-blowing swimming pool. An infinity pool, winter mornings and sunshine makes for such an inviting scenario. I sat next to the pool sipping my juice and soaking up some Vitamin D.

There is a compact gym fit into this lap of luxury as you should never miss out on staying healthy even when on a vacation. Coupled with this comes The Zivaya Spa - the in-house spa at Novotel Lucknow.

I had a wonderful time at Novotel along with my mother and brother and I cannot wait to revisit the property when I am back in town. I would strongly recommend Novotel for your travels to Lucknow, India.
