Radisson Lucknow City Center - A perfect example of hospitality and finesse
Updated: Jun 26, 2018
Hola guys, how are you all doing and how are the summers treating you? Anjuri and I are on a vacation and hence back to our lovely country, India for a few days. We are getting smothered by the heat wave up north here and staying indoors for the most part of the day.

Recently we got a great opportunity to stay at the Radisson City Center in Lucknow. Located in the Lalbagh area, I was amazed to find this great property so close to the central zone of the city. It is close to the main markets, malls, parks and also some of the heritage sites in old Lucknow and situated adjacent to a beautiful church which is visible right from the hotel rooms and pathways.

We were warmly welcomed upon arrival by the wonderful staff of the hotel. I would give five stars to the staff for their impeccable hospitality during our stay. They left no stone unturned in order to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We were served a welcome drink at the reception and the check in procedure took hardly any time.

Our suite was on the 7th floor of the hotel and we were spellbound when we entered the room. It was huge and the interiors were beautifully done. Drawing the curtains provided an amazing view of the city and on the other side was a spacious and relaxing bathroom.

It was connected with the room through a closet/changing area and it had a jacuzzi inside – all this and still there was enough space left for us to put some music on the in room JBL speakers and dance in there!

The roster of things that you can do within the hotel is good enough to keep you indoors for an entire weekend and not missing any fun.

There are two restaurants Caprice - All Day Dining Restaurant and Altitude - Rooftop Restro Bar. We ate to our hearts content at Caprice and yet there was half of the buffet spread that I hadn’t tried, it was so good(I had the best paneer gravy in a long long time). Don’t create opinions about us when you look at our plates full of food!

After eating we headed straight to “Altitude”, a rooftop bar to lounge in. They have guest DJ’s and live artists that play there almost every weekend. We had the good luck of being able to attend one such party and we were impressed.

The most beautiful location at Radisson was the rooftop pool and fitness Center.

We visited during the day as well as when the sun went down and the place looked beautiful both times. It’s just a perfect place to refresh with a quick dip or with a freshly cooked cocktail, whichever you prefer.

The last, and certainly most pampering experience we had was at the Nilaya Spa.

The types of therapies on offer covered almost all kinds of massage needs. Ours was a 60 minute session where the professional masseuse made us reach a tranquil, almost sedated state and back.

It was a wonderful way to bring our stay at this lovely hotel to an end.
I am so glad Radisson finally opened up in my city and that there is a world class property available for travelers as well as the locals who need an escape for a couple of days. I would recommend everyone to consider staying at Radisson when traveling to Lucknow, India.
