San Miguel de Allende – The best of Mexico through our eyes
Updated: Jan 3, 2019
Hey guys, it’s been a while since we posted about a new place and it was about time we shared one of our beautiful experiences with you. It’s for a reason that Travel + Leisure awarded San Miguel de Allende with 'The best city in the world' award in 2017. Although many people across the world would not have heard of this city, but we can promise you to expect a very pleasant surprise when you set your eyes upon this breathtakingly gorgeous city in the state of Guanajuato in central Mexico.
We had a little over a day to spend in SMA and we tried to make the most of it by visiting some of the most wonderful places in town. The stunning cobble streets, the classic architecture, the colorful walls, the carnival like atmosphere all year round, food that you can die for, all this and so much more made us fall in love with this place. We were love struck and we are sure that so would be you. Have a look at what made us drool over San Miguel.
Parroquia de San Miguel Arcangel – Intricate pink pinnacles poking through the skyline.

Walking by the colorful streets , wishing to stop by every bend and corner to capture it all.

Santuario de Atotonilco – A treasure that must be discovered.

Flowers all around the city.

So many cultural festivals to attend, all year round.
Casa del Mayorazgo de Canal - A wonderful site of Spanish architecture.

Travelers around the globe have selected San Miguel de Allende as the best city in the world for a reason. Actually, for a lot of reasons and now we know them all.
